The first impression you get whilst watching the opening sequence is that there is going to be a lot of action by just hearing the soundtrack, as gets intensifying with the fast, upbeat music. This already sets the mood for the type of movie the audience are in for.
- The titles, including the title of the film itslef in the sequence are is in block red lettering, connoting the film is going to involve alot of blood and murders, again assembling the mood.
An extreme long shot was used at the very beginning of a city at night, giving the mood of darkness and trouble which esablishes the location that the film will take place and the setting.
- It then moves on too more extreme close up's and mediam close up's of buildings, areas and police cars with police sirens in the the background connoting the illegal criminal activity that will be taking place.
