Initial idea

At first I came up with an idea for the opening sequence that a corrupted N.Y.P.D superintendant that can't help but feed off his addiction as a serial killer. Stuck between two sides of the law, what extent will he go to hide his true identity and escape imprisionment? With all the best forensic scientists surrounding him investigating the towns biggest mass murderer yet, surely he can't cover up everything, or does he have an inside accomplice?

However, its turned out to be abit too cliche as well as being similar to other productions already made. So we all expanded on the idea and came up with the storyline of a superintendant that suffered a traumatic death of her daughter in a house fire in which he was to blame for. All he had in memory of her was her favourite dolly, the one she went nowhere without. But due to the fire the doll was very damaged. From this experience he turned into a serial killer and cut hair from each of his victims to make his own doll as a representation of her. So we thought that in the opening sequence we could have a flashback/memory of his picking up the doll after the fire and the daughters bedroom as well as him burning up reports that have been sent to the station from the crimes he has commited. However, when we started to film it, it turned out to be far too complicated and we weren't satisfied with it. So although we got as far as editing it, we felt like we needed to start again, so we did. We had to think of a brand new idea, knowing not to make it too complicated learning from the previous mistake. So we came up with the idea that a jornalist breaks into a big cooperation to take information out of the computer his article because he is fully aware that the company is involved in drug trafficing. He finds accounts, import and export reports, locations, times and dates so he plugs in his USB to transfer the information. Whilst the informaton is transfering,the office phone rings, unaware that the manager is upstairs it becomes as race against time when he starts hearing footsteps coming down the stairs, needing to wait for the files to download and get out before she enters the office.

As our general idea for the rest of the storyline we thought that he managed to get out, thinking that he has got away with it but forgot to close the files on the computer that he was tranfering. When the owner of the office returns to see the files open, he checks CCTV then makes finding this journalist his and the companies main prioty to track him down and kill him before there secret gets uncovered.
